Todd Angel

Parabellum Founder
taekwondo | Strength & conditioning

Growing up in Cincinnati, Ohio, my passion for martial arts began at the age of 14 when I started Taekwondo. Since then, I've dedicated myself to mastering various martial arts disciplines and sharing my knowledge with others. I have achieved significant ranks in multiple styles, including 7th Dan in Taekwondo, 6th Dan in World Taekwondo Changmookwan and a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. With 38 years of martial arts experience and 20 years of teaching, I've gained a deep understanding and appreciation for these arts.

Throughout my career, I've been a part of numerous professional organizations, such as the US Armed Forces, World Taekwondo Changmookwan, Puerto Rico Changmookwan, Power Athlete Methodology Block One Coach, US Military Taekwondo Foundation, Amateur Athletic Union, and a free Mason. I retired from the US Army after 21.5 years of dedicated service and am proud to be married to Holly Angel for 27 years. Together, we have two grown children, Payton and Todd James. I am also the owner and head coach of Parabellum Martial Arts and Strength.

During my time in the Army, I had the opportunity to establish martial arts clubs at various military installations, including Fort Leonard Wood, Belgium, and Joint Base Langley-Eustis. My journey has been marked by numerous achievements, such as attaining Master Instructor Rank in Taekwondo and Karate, winning medals at the US Open National Taekwondo and World Open Karate competitions, and being a member of the All Army Taekwondo Team. I hold a Kukkiwon International Master Certification and have coached and developed world and Pan Am Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu medalists, nationally ranked professional and amateur MMA champions, Taekwondo National Champions, USA team trial athletes, and weightlifting and powerlifting national and world medalists (drug tested).
